I couldn’t help but think “I would love to be able to know how to decide which conditioners are actually doing the actual job of lubricating.”
I can’t deny that I’ve always felt that many of the ingredients in the conditioners (especially many of the ones I get tongue tied trying to pronounce) are really irrelevant. If I am to take Bharat Bhushan’s word for it, I was right on the money.
My Projected Theories
Bhushan’s intention is to continue studying other elements related to hair in the not so distant future. Already, some of the heavy hitting cosmetic manufacturers have enlisted Mr. Bhashan’s help to lecture their own scientists on how his research might be used to improve the efficacy of our hair products.
It is only a matter of time before they will be able to take all we know and create “it”; you know what I mean, the ultimate haircare product to enhance resistance to wear and stimulate rapid growth.
Come to think of it, lawsone, the dye in henna* has been shown to have a high affinity for keratin in our hair (which is why henna* is considered a permanent dye) so perhaps ayurvedic powders used as part of your regimen may very well improve the state of your hair more than using conditioners for strength alone.
As it is now, many conditioners just work on the surface of the hair, but I suspect that we will soon have conditioners that will penetrate the hair and repair it from within, which will ultimately keep breakage at bay and appease those of us longing for length.
It’s such a doozy to realize that with all the deep conditioning* with heat or for hours, you will basically get the same results as you would if you had left it on for five minutes. So I am sure some genius is going to find a way for that conditioner to really get deep.
Anyway, I’m sure that soon we will hear that they have discovered how to boost the growth rate of those of us who wait a whole year to get to two inches and not just boost it but guarantee rapid growth (oh I did say rapid growth already, right?). Well, I don’t know about you but I want it all. (Can’t blame a girl for thinking big) ๐
PEC Complex is mending splits not just at the very end, but in the mid shaft of the hair! The best is yet to come.
So then ladies, weigh in on the subject! What hair issues would you like the engineers to address?
Hair loss/breakage.
That’s right, we may be closer to that than we were a few years back. Let’s hope the scientists speed up the process.
Absolutely loved this article, very informative… I think If I had a say in what I would like Engineers to address it really would want them to continue looking at a variety of products and how they affect our hair, I am such a minimilast when it comes to products but every now and then I will try something. I think my main reason for not even bothering with a product is basically not knowing if it is really truly beneficial.
I am also OK with conditioners not chemically binding to the strand.
Glad you like it Emily ๐ I also agree with you about being a bit hesitant to try products. If there is research to show how they work and affect our hair that would be great.
Hair frizz and split ends.
What’s a good daily items to use on the hair
I might as well share mine, I want growth of rapunzel proportions (yes greedy much ๐ ), and I want the growth to be rapid. I would like to be able to reach two inches per month LOL!. Ok maybe I’m going overboard but I want noticeable length within a shorter time frame.
Male pattern baldness!
I want to say shrinkage… But whatever they come up with in a lab, I’d be leery of anyway lol.
