I love to see a 4B/4C regimen because it is still considered less popular in comparison to other regimens, but in my opinion it is becoming even more popular to showcase that hair texture on YouTube and on blogs. Jostylin is one of my favorite natural hair bloggers and from the video we see that her regimen is super simple, nothing crazy and can give you an idea of how other women take care of their hair.
When your hair gets longer no matter what the curl pattern you will notice that your hair is naturally stretched, because your hair gets very heavy stretching the curls naturally.
Here is what we loved about Jostylin’s video
1. She keeps her hair protected – Protective styles are almost a must for curly kinky* hair because it keeps the hair safe from the elements, manipulation and keeps it detangled.
2. Cleanse in sections – The best and ultimate way to get your hair cleansed and conditioned it to do it in sections, its easier, your hair stays detangled and you move much faster.
3. She stretches her hair – You do not have to use heat to stretch your hair but stretching your hair is important because it keeps the strands from breaking due to tangles and allows you to retain length.
Other tips you can use to care for your 4C/4B hair:
Use your fingers to detangle your hair and forget about tools like brushes, combs and tangle teasers; try to remove knots using only your ten digits. deep condition your hair as often as you can so that it can retain as much moisture as your protective style. It makes no sense to protect your hair while it is dry and breaking.

Interesting. I prepoo condition with coconut oil, the wash and then deep condition. I like her finger technique will try it this weekend.
