Do ensure that whichever oil or oils you choose to use are as natural as possible. Some great oils to consider are; jojoba oil, castor oil, sweet almond oil*, avocado oil or coconut oil.
You can use a single oil or create your own blend of natural oils, even including essential oils* that can add further benefits and or address any scalp issues you may be having. Examples of essential oils* you could try are tea tree oil*, lavender oil, peppermint oil* and rosemary oil*. Ensure that your essential oils are properly diluted in order to prevent burns and irritation.
If you want to learn how to massage your scalp effectively, Blogger @natashaleeds did a demonstration last year that you can try yourself with the oil of your choosing.

The inversion method
The Inversion Method for hair growth was all the craze a few years ago and I wanted to bring it back in focus this year for those of you who want to try this method coupled with scalp massages.
Simply put this method involves turning your head upside down for 4 minutes a day for 7 consecutive days per month (no more). While you are upside down you will massage your scalp allowing all the nutrients from your blood to flow to the scalp and increase hair growth.
It works in a similar way as many hair growth supplements* that contain agents, niacin being an example, that increase blood supply to the scalp thereby boosting hair growth.
With the added scalp massages you can maximise the effects of the inversion method using the oils we mentioned above. Do you do scalp massages? Comment below!
