Curls a mess? Tangles, knots and craziness happening all throughout your hair? Do you have fine hair? Do you have coarse hair? Is your hair dry matted and selfie unworthy?
You have come to the right place! Despite sounding like a played out infomercial, I am not selling anything but rather I am doing what I do best. I am about to share one of the best deep conditioners you can make for your curls or relaxed hair packed with light protein, humectants and tangle melting greatness.
Typically on a Sunday most of us decide to get a deep conditioning* session in so I wanted to ensure that you had this recipe early so that you can try it today and every other week after today.
We have been talking about dry hair all week long, and with Winter on our heels it is time to start getting into the habit of adding things to our hair that will ensure that moisture lasts a long time and that our strands remain strong in the harsh environments it might be subjected to.
Additionally it is flat iron* season so this one will come in handy right after you flat iron* and right before. I will confess that I stole this recipe from Mini Marley last Summer and it has not failed me not one time.
What you will need
Mayonnaise – 3 Table spoons
Coconut Oil* – 3 teaspoons
Conditioner as a base- You can use any conditioner but Mini Marley used Carol’s Daughter Moisture and Shine Hair Smoothie)
1 Egg
Honey* – Eye ball the honey* but 1 tablespoon should do the trick depending on how much hair you have.
Directions
Mix all the ingredients together until you have a nice thick paste that you will use on your hair in sections. You need to ensure that every strand, I repeat every strand is covered with your paste so that your entire head can feel the benefits.
You have two choices, you can decide to use a plastic cap and cover your hair for a couple of hours or you can do it my way and use a heat cap or over head dryer (with plastic cap) for about 20 minutes.
Wash your hair after you are done and style as usual! Check out Mini Marley as she demonstrates how to make the deep conditioner*:

What exactly does it do and how long did it take you to see results?
Leseia Goldsby says
It put moisture back into your hair and gives it a beatiful shine and makes it really soft, i used it when i was younger and didnt have conditioner my mom told me to use mayo and a egg.

I hear a lot of input about what to do with dry, tangled or other hair issues, but what do I do for my baby girl who has a head full of hair down her back…and she’s “TENDER HEADED”!!! Need help because wash day is like torture for the both of us. I condition it, section it and braid it and it’s only slightly better. Any help out there short of perming it which I don’t want to do.

I tried this little kit for natural hair on my girls and its works great its only shampo and a conditioner beatiful beginnings its not a perm do you have to really read the lables. You first wash it and then put the conditioner on it, let that sit for 20 min dont comb until then, step three comb in your sections and blow dry the hair with the conditioner on it, last step flat iron it and last 6wks but for us it last longer you will see a difference.
