What would you do? If you have ever lived with a testy teenager, you know how sneaky they can be even with all the rules and boundaries you have set for them. In this case a man from West Reading PA found his daughter’s boyfriend in his apartment, hiding in a bathroom.
According to the story:
“A surprised father assaulted his daughter’s male friend and chopped off his hair after he found them alone together, police said. Reginald Hardy, 38, of West Reading, has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault, terroristic threats and other offenses.
“I’m a father and I’m looking out for my daughter. That’s it,” said Hardy, who told 69 News he is remorseful for his actions.”
He admitted that he definitely lost it when he found out his daughter had this guy sneaking around in his own home.
“I just see people running and he locked himself in the bathroom, and then we got into a little scuffle,” said Hardy.
Hardy allegedly punched the man in his face and dragged him by his hair into the kitchen where he chopped off the guys deadlocks with a knife. When the guy started to run, Hardy told him he shouldn’t because he had a gun and would shoot him in the back.
“That might have been the maddest I ever got because I literally just seen red,” said Hardy. “I think he has the right to do it because a father needs to protect his daughters,” said Jo Boltz, who agreed with Hardy’s actions. “
Hardy cooperated with the police and apologized, but he insists that he deserves an apology as well because the 19 year old man disrespected him.
“I want to apologize for my actions, but I believe he owes me an apology, too, because he knows he shouldn’t have been there,”
Hardy is set to be in court as early as next week for the incident. What do you guys think? I think he definitly committed a crime because assault is not legal, however, well I will just say this, there is only one person in the world I would go to jail for and that is my child. Comment below!

Kudos to you Dad, I am not mad at you. I have a 13 year old who knows full well what the consequences of actions like these are. And, for the record, so does everyone who knows her. I am well known by all the kids she associates with and word of mouth being what it is, also by those she doesn’t associate with. Yes, I have the reputation of being that mother that takes no crap and I am not at all mad about that either. The boy should be grateful all he got was a punch in the face and some dreads that he can grow back. Had that been my household, some things might have been cut that just can’t be re-grown. For the record, at least dealing with me he gets to live another day, if that were my daughter’s father, I’m not so sure. And we are not even going to discuss what little missy is going to get.

Daughter or not, you don’t touch another human being unless they’ve touched you. It wasn’t like the guy did anything in a manner that provoked the violence, so no, I *don’t* respect his actions. It was stupid and he should have thought about it before he did something as stupid as cutting the kid’s hair. Sure, he was in the house, but grow up and tell him to leave!; as a father, what kind of example are you setting for your daughter? Really?
