Best 6 Essential Oils For Hair Growth

2. Rosemary Essential Oil

Rosemary Essential Oil

There is no way we could talk about hair growth and oils and not mention Rosemary oil. To do that would be doing ourselves and you a great disservice. As one of the main ingredients in our Fancy oil, we know how beneficial this powerful oil is to a healthy scalp and awesome growth.

Considered the sacred oil of Ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Hebrews, rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) reduces hair loss, reverses graying and can increase hair growth by over 20% according to some studies. If you are experiencing excessive shedding, or scalp irritation this oil can reduce hair fall and heal the scalp.

Rosemary isn’t here for just its pretty looks and sweet smells it truly is one of the best essential oils out there for hair health and should be a part of everyone’s regimen.

I had great success using rosemary for hair growth. Once I stop nursing i will be using it again but in moderation this time.

I have rosemary..what would you mix it with?? Kind of skeptical on using it on my hair. Anyone have any success on using it??

I tried it on my scalp neat & it was not a good idea. Mix it with Jojoba Oil, Vitamin E oil or Almond Oil but it must have a carrier oil. It is a very strong essential oil.

Try lavender and rosemary in an excellent carrier oil. Check with your doctor first. Some oils can’t be used by some people. Rosemary for example is not good if you are pregnant or nursing.

When my daughter was at the stage alopecia totalis (completely bald scalp) I used a mix of extra virgin organic olive oil, rosemary oil and lavender oil. The rosemary for stimulation and the lavender for antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. You should see her hair now. Nothing cures alopecia but this blend helped fight the damage topical steroids had on her scalp and now she has a head full of hair after reaching alopecia universalis. Excellent post. Very informative!
