If I had to pick one time in my life where I felt super regal and super sexy it would be that time I installed Marley twists. They were gorgeous, and I ensured that they were long so I could have the fliest pony tail on the planet. I must admit I have a bit of an obsession with extensions*, not only is it a great protective style but I love the way they look.
As I developed in my natural journey it was important that I learned how to care my natural hair and become an expert in protective styling because I know the importance of just giving my hair a break from time to time.
My protective style of choice is always some twists or braids of some sort because it keeps the hair detangled, separated and of course I mentioned how super sexy they are.
There are a few choices in extension styles out there, and this is pretty much what this post is about. I only use Marley hair, it is my preference and since it is very popular in the natural hair community we thought it would be the best hair to focus on.
To be honest, Marley hair may be heavily underestimated as a styling tool for natural hair and in my experience not only is it inexpensive but it is very easy to install. There’s also a large amount of possibilities when using Marley hair, as long as you know how to get creative.
Another cool thing about the extension hair is that the texture is closer to our own natural hair as opposed to something like Kanekalon hair, and makes it look more realistic and what contributes to is huge popularity in the natural hair community.
If you would like to protective styles like I do and you prefer Marley hair but don’t have any idea how to get started, this list can help, check out all the styles on the next couple of pages.
