Another beauty supply store robbed of the most expensive hair weaves that thieves could get their hands on. This time the hit was done in Houston and the bandits are believed to have done the same thing to a cell phone store.
The crime happened around 2 a.m. and according to the owners son about 8 men were in and out within 2 minutes leaving all of the cheap hair on the floor and putting all of the most expensive hair in the back of a white pick up truck.
We knew we wouldn’t see the last of beauty supply robberies, this means that the black market for hair extensions* is growing and people are finding ways to make money from selling hair from the trunks of their car.
If you watch the video it is hard to tell what the men look like, because I would be curious to know who exactly is doing this sort of crime and are they targeting Chinese owned beauty supply’s or just all of them?
According to Kevin Kim (son) his family owned the store for about six years and this was their first time experiencing the break-in even though they have heard about other stores similar to theirs being affected.
When he was asked about his family, he responded:
“They’re devastated. Even I’m speechless right now,”
In the video below he will also confirm that the men knew exactly what they wanted and the extensions* cost as much as $200 a piece and the wigs* cost $450.00. The total damage is well in the thousands and this time they also stole cash that was left in the store.
Houston police are still looking for the robbers, lets hope they find them. I couldn’t imagine what it feels like to have your livelihood shattered in one night, weigh in, what do you think about thieves targeting these stores?

wow! no one is stealing diamonds, money, nor gold anymore! I will say “good” weave is very expensive, but that should shock the entire hair community! Hide your weaves, hide your extensions. I really hope this does not become an epidemic smh. Just sad…just sad

I saw it on the news. it happened near my sister n law. I don’t know if these black men ( 8 or 9 ) cased the store before breaking into it or their girlfriends told them what to steal ? I am assuming its for ‘ back to school ‘ . just sad.

Really

It is good that no one was there. A robbery in a Detroit suburb resulted in loss of life.

Are we really surprised people? After all a demand for weave hair does exist? We know who will be buying it!
