Wasn’t it just a week ago I told ya’ll that it is not polite to touch another person’s hair? Well apparently this guy did not get the memo and another celebrity has taken to Twitter to express her frustrations.
Recently Oscar-nominated director Ava DuVernay was not very pleased about what happened to her while waiting on a train.
Missed train dealing w/ a man who touched my hair + when I asked what in all the hells he thought he was doing replied “Is this racial?”
Other women came over. Guy is screaming at all of us. Station police involved. It was a whole thing. As I see my train blink off the board.
Now he’s having charges pressed by another lady for harassment. Moral: DON’T TOUCH anyone uninvited. ESPECIALLY not this black woman’s hair.
A man felt that it was ‘ok’ to touch her locs without asking for her permission. She got on Twitter to describe the entire ordeal with her followers.
What got me was when he asked ‘is it racial?’ What does that even mean? One has to wonder how things would be if the tables were turned. If black men and women walked around just touching people’s hair how would that go over?
Would that behavior make it to FOX News? I agree with some of her followers who think that the man involved may not have been well:
Darn. That stinks. He sounds unstable.
sounds like he is not well.. Does he know who he is talking to??!!’
praying for him cause clearly he needs Jesus
I’m sorry crazy ppl or this guy guy was being ignorant an was not raise with manners or respect I hope that his mother is some were
Looks like we will not be getting rid of this phenom anytime soon but with dudes getting arrested and charges being pressed maybe people will think twice about one, entering someone’s personal space. And two touching someone without permission. We are not side show freaks and our personal space is not a free of cost petting zoo.

Misleading headline. Another woman who joined the altercation is the one who’s pressing charges.
BlackHairInformation.com says
It isn’t actually because the altercation was caused because he touched her hair.

Ava needs to get over herself! I’m sorry but it’s not that serious!

It’s really not that serious.

if a black man did this to a white women he would have been deemed a predator, not someone who was intrigued by another races hair.
Asha Jamia says
A white woman probably wouldn’t have took it so seriously.
DLB says
WRONG! A white woman would have said she was being attacked.
Gloria says
Exactly! I wouldn’t recommend anyone to touch my hair, especially without asking. Don’t know where your hands have been…

Seriously?????
